I am postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University. My work uses the tools of economics to improve health policy and population health around the globe. My work in global health focuses on treatment of child diarrhea, community health workers, HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention, child nutrition, private sector health care, and the impact of health insurance for the poor. Domestically, my work focuses on price shopping for health care, opioid abuse, consumer directed health plans, and HIV/AIDS prevention policies. My work has been published in leading journals including The BMJ, Health Affairs, Clinical Infectious Disease, and The American Journal Of Health Economics.

I have a Ph.D. in health policy (economics track) from UC Berkeley and a master’s degree in international development from UC San Diego. I previously worked as a research analyst at the Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics at the University of Southern California and at the World Bank.
